“ I have very few memories of my grandmother from when I was little, however I loved her beef stew. I don’t remember what she made it with, I just remember the very first time I ever tried it I was 6 years old and vowed to eat nothing but her stew every single day!

“ Last summer we had my daughter’s birthday party at the local park and swimming pool. We invited all of our family and many of her school friends to join us for a day of celebration and fun. We grilled hot dogs, served chips, cake and Coca-Cola drinks.
Chicken Stew
Ingredients: Directions: 1. Pre-heat oven to 350. Brown the chicken in the oil in a skillet. Do it in two batches if necessary, and transfer the chicken to an oven safe casserole. 2. Saute the onions and mushrooms in the same skillet for a few minutes, then add to the chicken. 3. Deglaze the skillet with a can of mushroom soup. Pour it over the meat in the casserole and add 1/2 c. of vermouth. 4. Cover and bake for an hour. - Classic family recipe by Upstate Ramblings.

NO BAKE COOKIES
2 Cups Sugar
1/4 Cup Cocoa or 1 bar Unsweetened Chocolate
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Butter or Margarine
1 Tsp Vanilla
3 Cups Quick Cooking Oatmeal
1/2 Cup Peanut Butter
Combine sugar, cocoa, milk, and butter/margarine in a saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil and boil hard for 1 minute at a rolling boil. Remove and add vanilla and peanut butter. Stir well and add all the oatmeal. Drop by spoonful onto wax paper or pan. Let cool to harden, and enjoy!
